Justin L. Stewart is an independent visual journalist
from Jackson Hole, Wyoming who is currently based in Los Angeles, California. Justin earned his Master of Arts in Journalism from the Missouri School of Journalism at the University of Missouri. He enjoys working on projects that require both his cinematography and photography skills. He also loves any reason to fly his drone.
Justin likes to document sports, everyday life, breaking news, politics, and relevant social matters. He works for NGOs, newspapers, documentary productions, and other clients in need of documentary work.
His work has been published in The Atlantic, ESPN, TIME's Lightbox, Al Jazeera, The New York Times, The Guardian, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The Boston Globe and many other outlets. He contributed to Spike Lee's "2 Fists Up," documentary about the protests and unrest on the University of Missouri's campus during the fall semester of 2015. When not inundated with work, Justin can be found wandering the streets of LA with camera in hand or researching stories and possible travel opportunities.
He's not into coffee, but he'd love to grab tea with you.
Justin is available for work in the Los Angeles area and elsewhere.
