VidCon 2023

The other month I had the opportunity to photograph a couple days of VidCon in Anaheim, California. I've never been to this event before and it was pretty wild to watch the kids storming into the event center both those days as the doors opened.

Shoots like these can be a little overwhelming when there's so much you can chase and photograph. It usually takes me a few seconds to settle down and to realize I need to approach it bit by bit. It's really fun once you get settled into that groove. People are so happy to have their photograph made at an event like this. There's so many fun interactions to be had. I also had the fortune of working with a very kind and helpful video team, which isn't always the case. Things always run smoother when you've got a team that's cognisant of each other's presence and can work together to make it work well for both parties.
